More than The Bridge Betrayed!, October 10, 2004

Sells has been know to write interesting books covering issues and clashes between Christians and Muslims, due to his Serbian heritege and his background as a Professor and chairperson of the Department of Religion at Haverford College, in the US. He critisices his own in a very tough and honest way. Even if some fanatics will claim that he only speaks about the horrible acts of crime conducted by Serbians and Croats.
Sells gives us a detailed look into the, by the Serbs, created mythology. I say created, some of you may say revised, but in any case it hade the purpose to seduce it's own pepole to commit the most serious war crimes since the Soviet gulag camps or the concentration camps of the third rich.
Serbs use the death of Prince Lazar at the infamous battle in Kosovo between the Serbs and the Ottomans, Muslims have since been considered Christ killers and the primary target of Serb hatred. You can have your own opinions about this, but fact is that the Serbs used this myth to put a spell on there own people. Much like Adolf Hitler.

Sells writes in a way that many people might find hard to understand. Even if the book is only 150 pages it takes quite a while to get through. It is packed with information and it is not happy reading. It breaks your heart to hear about all the massacres that took place in Europe. As Europeans we should know better then let it happen again. And even as I knew about many of what Sells is writing, due to my background.
The West didn't do anything about the situation before it was too late. The reason to this may be that they didn't want to argue with Russia in imbalance that only needed something to fuel a last fight against the capitalists. Comments, by Sells, about secret NATO supply stores can't be taken seriously due to the level of speculations surrounded the breakup of the Warzawa pact. Fact is that Sovjet hade huge supply stores in the former Yugoslavia. And Serbian leaders made sure to take control over those, at an early stage of the conflict.

It is hard for a European to hear that those genocidal theories were used again, didn't we learn anything??? The Orthodox church were involved in those crimes and that is something I didn't expect, but that's why we are protestants in Sweden, not fundamentalists.

In all, a really good book that will open your eyes to the crimes committed by people that should know better. Serbians and Croatians was involved in World war II and it seems that people that suffered want revenge, much like Israel...

Undisputible facts, May 3, 2004

This is dynamite, I love it. I have been a friend of Israel's policy for a long time, mostly because of it well oiled military force (air force to be precise) and everything they've done. A purely professional, military opinion.
But it is reveling to read Tanya Reinhart, an expert on theoretical linguistics at Tel Aviv University, put forward all these facts about the conflict that has been hidden from the world community for more than half of a century. She also reveals what she calls "The Oslo Apartheid" and compares it with South Africans Apartheid system. It enlightes you I promise. It is objective and very well written.
She makes it clear that only an immediate and unconditional withdrawal from the West Bank and Gaza can bring peace to the area. And she also states that in a 2002 survey 77 percent of Palestinians still agree that "both Israel and Palestine have the right to live in peace and security."
One of the most chocking facts are that the Israel's military force(taking order from the country's leaders), which is one of the most powerful in the world, also backed by the United States, deliberately shoots civilian Palestinians, not to kill, but to wound them and to practice. United States is of course the rouge state here. They block every UN resolution just to please the Jewish lobby in Washington D.C. And because of that Israel can continue to laugh at the UN Resolutions and crimes against the Geneva Conventions. It's a fact Serbians that committed war crimes face the Haag tribunal, but what about Israeli leaders, and of course Hamas terrorist.
To make peace USA HAVE to stop support Israel with money and guns. But as a student of international relations and political science at Halmstad University I recommend this book, it's great.

An eyeopener, August 2, 2003

By way of introduction I would like to make one thing clear. Before I read this book, my opinions about this burning subject were very clear. I always thought that jewish organizations' claims were justified and fair, because the poor victims in the concentration camps suffered extremely much. I thought that the money went to the victims and maybe their children. And I took for granted that every victim, jews, gypsies, communists etc. received their share of the cake. BUT, all I can say is that this book is a real eye opener. It is very well written by a writer who really knows his subject and it will certainly shake the jewish community. Real criticisms can only come from one of your own. And it is heart breaking to hear about the corruption and lies that come from jewish organizations. To use a horrible crime for personal gain...
We are talking about billions of dollars here, money that belongs to the victims of World War 2, mainly in Europe, and not to already rich and powerful American jewish movements. It is not surprising to hear about the links between the American government, the Israeli lobbyist and the "holocaust industry". It is strange that there have been only small claims to the American banks but enormous claims to European banks. But don't get me wrong here, most of the claims were justified, but the money has to go to the rightful owners and all the banks involved must compensate the victims. I also read about the heads of the jewish committees that were not even in Europe by the time of World War 2 and are now billionaires.

Finally, as prospective teachers, we have to understand that the holocaust, as horribles as it was, it was not unique. The Sovjet union killed approximately 70 million people, many of whom were jews. All the victims of the slavery in the United States and ofcourse the native american population still haven't received any restitution.
But, God must be screaming in heaven. And what do the "real" jews say about this?
